Technology Center with Innovative Power
The Technology Center in Holzwickede is the heart of the Montanhydraulik Group's innovative power. Here, decades of knowledge about hydraulic cylinders are bundled. Research, development, and new construction take place under one roof and benefit from mutual exchange. We work closely with our customers to develop innovative solutions for demanding tasks. Our hydraulic cylinders withstand high loads and extreme conditions and maintain tight tolerances.
To solve complex requirements, our designers have access to 3-D design programs, FE calculation programs, and independently developed calculation and simulation methods. The requirements placed on Montanhydraulik have different focuses: weight and cost optimization, fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, and maintenance-free operation. To realize the interfaces to our customers' respective machines and systems, our engineers develop drive controls, highly complex control technology, integrated displacement measurement systems, or special valves.
Innovation is what drives us. We develop hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic systems, always trying to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Stable and efficient processes are the backbone of our quality policy and a decisive factor for long-term success. We rely on process efficiency through continuous review and optimization of our procedures to ensure the highest standards. The methods of continuous improvement process (CIP) are part of our daily actions.
Digitalization plays a central role in this. By using modern technologies and digital tools, we continuously improve our processes, creating higher transparency and faster response times. Our end-to-end thinking allows us to view and optimize the entire value creation process holistically – from the first customer contact to the final delivery. We actively promote the identification and implementation of improvement potentials in all areas to continuously increase our efficiency.

The methods of the continuous improvement process (CIP) are part of our daily activities.

Production
In recent years, we have expanded our various production sites in line with the respective product focus and at the same time created state-of-the-art production facilities. This allows us to achieve maximum flexibility, concentrate the respective competencies and operate economically even with smaller production batch sizes.
Our production has a high level of manufacturing expertise, which is based on state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced workforce of skilled workers and production specialists. We use modern machine tools, welding robots, automatic assembly and testing systems, electroplating equipment and special machines that have been further developed from standard machines according to our specifications.
Personnel
Top quality is not just a question of technology, but above all of people. That is why we invest in highly qualified personnel through continuous further training and qualification programmes in all areas of the company.
The excellently trained employees at Montanhydraulik utilise modern calculation methods and supplement their theoretical calculations with test bench examinations for operational stability proofs and basic research. For us, problems and recognised errors are opportunities for innovation and improvement. Every employee has the duty and the right to contribute to recognising and eliminating faults in order to produce flawless quality and avoid or reduce environmental impact. Error prevention is our top priority.
The responsibility we have towards young people is particularly important to us. For this reason, we invest in their training in order to give them career prospects. Montanhydraulik trains the next generation of skilled workers in its own training centres at various locations. In addition, Montanhydraulik provides engineering students with the necessary practical training as part of a dual Bachelor of Engineering programme.
